You can of course relax by the pool of your hotel or on a nearby beach while taking a dip in the sparkling Mediterranean to cool off. When you feel like getting out and about you can visit Victoria, the charming capital city with its fortified walls and citadel on one side and its excellent restaurants and lively bars on the other.

So yes, Gozo maybe a small island but it offers so much including wonderful weather of course, beautiful beaches and fascinating places of interest making this lovely little island a perfect choice for a relaxing holiday.

Getting Around

If you are looking to travel around the island, Gozo has a network of buses that will get you to wherever you want to go. You can also hire a car from the ferry port, there isn't much traffic on the island so this is the popular choice for people looking to explore.

Eating and Drinking

Eating out is recommended in Gozo as it gives you the chance to sample the delicious local food with influences from across the Mediterranean to North Africa that creates a unique fusion of tastes.

There are some excellent restaurants across the island, particularly in Victoria, and of course most of the year you can sit outside and enjoy the view across the Mediterranean.

There are several tours of Gozo, there is an all day one called 'Discover Gozo' plus shorter half day tours and tours by quad bike or a Tuk Tuk!

Have we mentioned Victoria?! Well in case you missed it a visit to the capital is a must! It's stuffed full of fascinating history, has fortified walls and a citadel, if you make it to the top of its towers you will be rewarded with majestic views across Gozo, Malta and the Mediterranean.

Nightlife

There are plenty of bars across Gozo, most very reasonably priced and with a lively atmosphere. There are some clubs that pop up during the summer, one popular one is La Grotta in Munxar, not far from Victoria.

Events

The biggest event in Gozo is the Carnival of Gozo which is held every year during the month of February. There are also numerous music festivals held during the summer.
