With its beautiful scenery, surrounding nature, and long stretches of sandy beaches, the Bulgarian coastal town of Bourgas earned itself top award by the prestigious Swiss Travel Awards 2012 in the category "Must Visit Destination". It was also given the title "City of Sand Sculptures" for the original Sand Sculpture Festival which attracts thousands of tourists to visit the city each year. The announcement of the award comes two months prior to the biggest Swiss International Tourism Exhibition, which will be held in Lugano.

Budva is probably the most visited city of Montenegro. It is situated on the Budva Riviera, and has a population of 8000 with a broad promenade busy around the clock along the beach and the seaport.
