The first snowflakes of the year dropped between 2-3 cm of the white stuff in the high peaks of the Bulgarian Rhodope Mountains, such as Rozhen and Pamporovo. Nevertheless, the white coat did not last long because of the rising temperatures at midday.
Although the September snow quickly melted, Pamporovo AD's executive director Marian Belyakov said "Pamporovo resort is preparing for a strong winter season, while it is too early for predictions, meteorologists are promising good skiing conditions."

The Bulgarian Black Sea resort of Albena will unveil a brand new aquapark on July 1st 2014. Once opened the Aquapark will offer its visitors more than 600 meters of water slides and a fun, action packed children's section.
Lovka Strashilova, Deputy Sales Director of Albena AD said "The Aquapark opening will form part of the 45th anniversary celebrations of the resort and is one of a kind for the country."
