The International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) named Bulgaria as the 2012 Undiscovered Golf Destination of the Year.
The Undiscovered Golf Destination of the Year is voted for by the International Golf Travel Writers Association (IGTWA), incorporating 159 of the worlds leading golf travel journalists in 33 countries.
Tasked with identifying an undiscovered gem among the worlds golf destinations, members assess each nomination against the following criteria:
* Qualities that make it an interesting golf destination;

Onofrio’s Fountain was built by Onofrio della Cava, a master builder from Naples in 1438, but as most part of Dubrovnik, it got destroyed by the earthquake of 1667. So, the fountain visible today is not the original one. The 16-sided drinking fountain has been an essential part of the city’s water supply network since it construction. It is a magnificent meeting point today, and serves as a real oasis with its cold water for the tired tourists.

Since launching it's partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support in January 2012, Balkan Holidays have continued to put this worthy cause in the spotlight with promotion of the charity in both its summer and winter brochures as well as a dedicated page for the charity on the Balkan Holidays website.
Throughout the last two years the Balkan Holidays London staff have taken part in various fund-raising events including a coffee morning, London walk and prize draw raffles in order to assist Macmillan Cancer Support provide practical, medical and financial assistance and push for better cancer care by raising invaluable funds.

Should the United Kingdom leave the European Union on March 29th with no deal, the rules for travel to our destinations is expected to change. With this in mind, the government has started accelerating its plans for a no deal EU exit and wants to ensure you are also prepared for any changes that come from a no deal Brexit.
UK passport holders are advised to check their passports to see whether it is valid for travel after March 29th 2019. If you do not yet have a UK passport, more info will follow in the coming weeks.
