In their recent Family Holiday Report, Post Office Travel Money visited beach resorts across Europe and added up 10 items we buy on holiday to find which one is the cheapest. Well it won’t come as a big surprise but Sunny Beach won very comfortably and so it’s official, Sunny Beach is Europe’s cheapest beach resort.

Here are the items the Post Office compared with other Euro beach resorts and here are the prices they paid in Sunny Beach.

Bottle of beer (in a café/bar): £2.07
Bottle/can of cola: £1.61
Glass of wine: £2.76
1.5 litre bottle of mineral water: £0.69

Insect repellent: £4.37
2 children’s pizza: £8.29
2 course lunch for two adults: £20.25
3 course family meal in wine/soft drinks: £59.38
Total: £110.47

The resort that came a distant second had a total of nearly £118 so a very comfortable win for Sunny Beach.

Points to make…a cup of coffee, £1.38, great value! As is a bottle of water for 69p and a delicious 2 course lunch in a restaurant for just over £10 each. This is proof what great value for money Sunny Beach and Bulgaria is.
