Bulgaria & Slovenia Represented at the World Ski Awards 2013
ABOUT THE WORLD SKI AWARDS:
The World Ski Awards are the first of its kind to acknowledge, celebrate and reward the best brands in the ski hospitality industry. The World Ski Awards are part of World Travel Awards, which is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary as "the Oscars of the travel industry".
The World Ski Awards focus on the leading 20 ski destinations who are shaping the future of this progressive industry. Whilst acknowledging and rewarding excellence across ski resorts and the ski hospitality sector, the World Ski Awards will ultimately strive to improve the ski tourist customer experience and energize both the domestic and international ski tourism markets.
The worldwide voting process began on Monday 26th August with votes being made by professionals working within the ski travel and tourism industry (senior executives, travel buyers, tour operators, agents and media professionals) Votes can also be submitted by the skiing public through a simple and easy to use Facebook log in process. The voting works on a first-past-the-post system to ensure fairness and independence. Votes are submitted online at World Ski Awards website until 13th October 2013.
The winners of each national category will then go head-to-head with the winners of the other countries before the unveiling of the World Winners at the prestigious World Ski Awards Ceremony held on the evening of Saturday 16th November 2013 in Kitzbühel, Austria.
WORLD SKI AWARD CATEGORIES:
The exclusive awards programme features four categories:
Best Ski Resort
The Best Ski Resort category is open to towns, villages or areas with an established ski infrastructure – and an impeccable ski record.
Best Ski Hotel
The Best Ski Hotels are those that successfully marry world-class services and facilities with a uniquely individual experience. We are looking for luxury properties that continuously raise the bar in terms of standards, style and flair.
Best Ski Boutique Hotel
We are looking for those properties whose individuality shines through their small size and keen sense of style and charm. This category champions hotels with less than 50 rooms that possess a unique character whilst still providing world-class services and facilities.
Best Ski Chalet
From chic and designer to traditional and homely we are looking for the finest ski chalets. Catering for families or larger groups the award-winning emphasis rests upon impeccable levels of service, cuisine – and location.
